Thar She Blows!

'Thar She Blows!' is my piece for an upcoming exhibition called 'Spectrum' - curated by Mr Gresty (www.mrgresty.com/art-projects/lhr-exhibitions) The brief was very open but restrictive at the same time, each of the 16 chosen artists recieved a colour to feature very prominently, (the exhibition then displayed in the order of the Spectrum) The artwork had to be 50cm x 70cm and framed in a uniform style. But the subject matter was completely open - I therefore chose 2 of my favourite things; Pirates and typography.

Sketched at the correct dimensions - not happy with the whale, and the script at the bottom was way too big (would have been 'The Adventures of Captain Longbones' - one of my alter egos)
